Fishing Things — A time-series-based bidirectional interaction protocol that minimizes mis-selection in dense smart-home environments.

In IoT environments where the sheer number of devices makes mis-selection likely, this work proposes an interaction protocol for selecting only the intended object. A simulated environment was built in which a user points at a distant object and swipes up to toggle its power, using the Kinect V2 body-tracking API and a WPF-based UI. As first author I led the implementation, study, analysis, and writing.
